Kennel-Rehu operates a one-of-a-kind business model in Finland. Their locally produced, additive-free meat for dogs is made in Siltakylä, Pyhtää. Products are sold primarily through an online store and delivered directly to customers using the company’s own mobile shops. These vehicles follow regular routes, stopping at over 200 locations from Rovaniemi to Hanko.


With Odoo, Kennel-Rehu gained a business management system that adapts to every part of their operations. In the video, Business Director Pauli Toikka and Marketing Lead Heidi Rantanen share how Odoo has transformed their day-to-day work.

Legacy systems were running on borrowed time


Kennel-Rehu decided to overhaul their ERP system when their old tools began to slow things down instead of supporting operations. Outdated technology, a clunky interface, and sluggish information flow created daily challenges. Retrieving data could take up to two weeks, and important insights often fell outside reporting altogether.


Processes were handled manually. Paper notes were common, and four separate systems were running side by side—some with no documentation left. Maintaining these systems was risky and inefficient.


The goal was clear: better overall control. Real-time business insights, less manual work, and data-driven decision-making were top priorities. Cost-effectiveness was also key—upgrading the old online store alone would’ve cost more than half the price of the entire Odoo project.

Other business areas were also smoothly integrated into Odoo. The online store became a seamless part of the system. No separate interfaces are needed for accounting or inventory, which simplifies system management and improves data reliability.

All operations in Odoo: one system, one view


Kennel-Rehu now runs its entire business through one system. Odoo covers:


  • the online store, supporting features like stop point selection and order scheduling
  • production planning and batch tracking of raw materials
  • warehouse management and inbound logistics
  • transport route scheduling and historical data
  • point-of-sale in mobile shops and the Pyhtää store
  • reporting and accounting, all in one system
